A thorn in my flesh

Those who love connecting with nature can attest that God created 'good' magnificent environment and all therein. Trees, rivers, animals coexist together and somewhat have a healing effect and a way to detoxify our mindsets. Ironically, the beautiful roses that offer sweet fragrance, syrup/juice are mainly used in bouquets can be dangerous as they might prickle with their thorns. It can cause pain, at times swelling, itching or irritation, taking me to my topic for the day; a thorn in my flesh.

I took this photo and thought about how God created such a 'good' magnificent environment... but even here, among the beauty, we find the thorns.

Piercings are less painful when the object is taken out. When one has a thorn in the flesh, in as much as it is painful, it has to come out. By so doing, one's relieved.

Thorn in my flesh simply mean pain inflicted by the least expected thing/being, something/someone meant to protect or bring joy. Words, betrayal, slap in the face or disaster can symbolise thorns, anything sharp enough to pierce your soul.Thorn is in the flesh because of its proximity to you and you allowed it because you felt comfortable, until you got punctured. You planned it not, but it happened. Let bygones be bygones, time to nurse your wound and move on.

Due to thorns in flesh, some have neglected their loved ones or let go what they like. Beaten once, twice shy. Why not take the thorn/splinter out, nurse your wound and carry on with life.

Never allow the pains of yesterday dictate your future. Pursue that which you want without fear of being injuired. Just like how you and nature coexist, so must you and that which affected you; though you ought to apply wisdom in order to avoid history from recurring. Wear your gloves honey, when working with roses, get it...

You're stronger than you think and I know that the thorn won't last in you forever, it will surely come out leaving you relieved. Dont allow temporary pain shape your future. Create the world you want fearlessly.
