"I've failed more than enough..."
How many people will raise their hands when the above-mentioned statement is posed? I concluded: Failure is a notion that you are doing something.
I believe failure is an ideology secretly transfered by lazy souls. Those not willing to make things right. They just discourage you till no atom of trying is left in you & you give up. Failure is simply calling quits, giving up or stop trying. Nnessy💕
Failure began in your infancy stage when you missed your mouth with a spoon. Failed to contain food stuff on the fork/spoon doing a double job using your hands too. Oh, those baby steps were magical, having your parents cheering you to balance and keep moving despite the falls. Yes, let's talk about sport day, sometimes you took the last spot but, you were glad you raced or completed the run. The times you failed being a good kid & ended up being reprimanded/punished to be at your best behaviour.
Writing was the best moment, failing to hold a pen let alone writing. You used a thick pencil or crayon while learning in kindergarten. Lo & behold; only God knows the name you wrote, instead of your own precious one. Robney, Mary (with an "r" facing backwards), letter omissions, "b" instead of "d", small & upper case, letters running up & down... LOL, yet you were proud of your work. The letters were not even, stable or neat; still you loved it. Colours running up & down on your colouring paper; yet you loved it. Copying was tough task back then, hahaha.
Despite, the challenges, you huddled through. "One two, buckle your shoes; three four lay them straight..." our nursery rhyme. Truth be told doing shoelaces was no easy job; yet today you smile & do it right. Ironically, the failures you encountered while growing up failed to pull you down because you chose to overcome & try till you did everything right. What of today?
Today you majestically walk like a king/queen but, few months into your existence, you were having difficulty with standing. You fought odds at a tender age. Today minor things seem capable of demolishing you. Failure doesn't exist we created it; to suit our laziness. You were lazy to read, acquire knowledge, exercise... You now console yourself with failure; "I failed to..." Thats pathetic. It's even a pity that the world has created words that are failure related & we aren't ashamed to use them. What happened to the childish mentality, I can do it?
Where did fear of failure come from? How did doubt creep in? When asked to eat in the dark, you won't miss your mouth because you learnt how to do things right. Is it because you lazy to learn that's why you keep crushing failure hurdles? Who introduced failure to you? ~ Nnessy💕
If one fails is an exam; he/she will take a re-write. Making things right, aiming for a better score. Even if the course is hard; one thrives & creating a study timetable & those late-night study session. Aim - simply making it. No one wants failure; everyone is fighting it off. Do same.
The race is still on; keep moving. Stop calling quits. Don't give up. Go go you!!!
Thank you😊

ReplyDeleteI have also come to realize that failure is associated with a number of factors that are inclusive of procrastination, anxiety among others. Take that one step, enhance yourself, grow and glow. Be the person you have always envisaged to be. Keep moving. The world is waiting for you.
