Survival
Survival
Water, oxygen, carbon dioxide, sunlight
Ingredients meant for my survival,
They say, "Fortune favours the bold,"
Yet speaking of natural selection,
"Survival of the fittest."
The question remains,
Am I competent enough?
I have neither strength to continue,
Nor skills to push through,
I'm just a weak fellow,
In need of joules to survive.
Sunlight is what I seek,
Yet, global warming is our aftermath,
With ultraviolet rays designated for my downfall,
The heat is unbearable,
Too much radiation & I'm gradually withering,
Death echoes everywhere...
Kindly grant me a chance to live,
I failed to produce fruit due to unstable seasons,
Can this world pardon my soul,
And grant me a greenhouse?
Planet Earth, do favour your child.

If you find yourself in this struggle, do not let self-criticism be your enemy. Seek out the tools and resilience you need to survive. Helplessness is a weight you can cast off; giving up is never the answer.
Thank you😊
