The silent motivator

Streets are filled with noises and buzzes of people making moves. Headlines, newsflash/news feeds, socials and platforms are filled with spoken hero(ine)s. Those who won't make it to the list are seen to be misfits to societal's standards. Today I'm hear to talk of the unsung heroes moving societies forward. We live with them, connect and socialize but never validated their worth.

There is the generous sect, always willing to give and make impact, for the sake of helping and making moves. Today's post is inspired by the care givers and nursing mothers. I value their tremendous work for ensuring the life and safety of others. Doing such work is a calling.

Nursing mothers make sure that new life/born or children get all they need and is provided in moderate supplies. This ranges from food, clothing and other factors. The comfort of their children is their duty. They can go extra miles making sure the babies needs and demands are met. They try by all means nurture the child in a way that society would easily welcome. They make provision available be it financial, mental, moral and make sure conditions are set right for a baby's healthy growth. These is a sect of people that make sacrifice big time but because they are considered helping their own, society sees it as their own responsibility and shun away from seeing the saving lives they do as heroic act.

Care givers and domestic workers are infact heroes. They're saving lives, homes and protecting those they are nurturing.  In as much as we want to ignore the fact of their importance in our lives, we realise there can never be a world without them. Toddler need nannies, we need landscapers, the old and sick need care givers too; everything is surrounded around them yet society sees SuperMan who exists not as a hero. Ironically, we trust these individuals by becoming vulnerable around them; be it sharing personal information, them being aware of our private lives and their contribution to our day to day lives but fail to see their heroic traits of serving or saving us regardless of our weaknesses/short-coming.

It's high time we change our limited lens and see the heros within us. Let's learn to appreciate, not all heroes were capes; some are camouflaged as ordinary beings. See heroism in the underestimated!!!
