You cannot chase what you have
Chasing something is enough evidence of wanting something that isn't within your reach. If it was near, you'd get a grab.
I was watching a clip on IG of Will Smith talking about achieving all his dreams and reaching the 'cliff-top' nearly the same as reaching one's rock-bottom. The first thing that triggered my mind is 'achieving all you want' not being a deal breaker, how? As I pondered, this statement was dropped in my spirit, "you cannot chase what you have." One thing that kept ringing in my heard is the catching of ... that being sought for is equivalent to you starting a different chase which equals restless.
In the Bible, it is clearly stated that .... Jesus leaves the 99 sheep in search of one. He has the 99 therefore, He chases/searches the one missing. We're lacking aspects in our lives no wonder we're there running about in search of money, fame, prosperity... you name it all. Allow me say we're restless and peace seems far from us.
The sad part in this wild-goose chase is we're never satisfied, we seem to want more. After making it on Mount Kilimanjaro, I desire Mount Everest. I believe it's time we work on self and not chase multiple things for no valid reasons. Imagine, being an athlete desiring to complete jumps, sprints and throws at the same time, you'll need to by-pass something inorder to participate in another. Why not focus on the dots that make up the beautiful big picture and allow yourself rest. Afterall, athletes do need adequate rest prior to activities.
We're a busy generation, running up and down doing all sort of things and hardly having time to rest. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating laziness but all I'm saying is give yourself rest, relax. Imagine achieving something after a long chase, you'll be tired to do anything but rest; so why not rest as you chase.
Stop chasing things, start chasing you, my king/queen.
Thank you 😊
