Mother's love
Every day should be a Mother's Day. Mother's do a lot on a daily basis. I thought of expressing myself using a poem.
🍃Mother's love💕
Often times we hear about
Romeo & Juliet's love,
being the greatest.
Yet, there is more than it,
One which ain't conditional,
That lasts till eternity,
Mother's love of course.
Right before my existence,
You loved me dearly,
You confirmed it in our small talks
Whilst in the womb,
Yeah right, our bond began there,
With a little bit of pain endorsed on you,
Yet, you endured.
Then, you brought me into the world,
You taught me love
And the power of union.
Mom, mother, in fact my first love,
You were always there for me,
When days were dark,
You enlightened them,
When I failed,
You gave me reason to be positive,
When I was weak,
You were my strength,
You stood when the rest of the world walked away,
You always had my back,
I love you mom.
I remember the first time you held me,
Tiny as I was,
I laid peacefully in your gentle,
Smooth, comforting arms,
I stared at you as I took my milk,
Looking at the one who gave me life,
You held me affectionately & passionately,
Whispering only words you understood,
And gave me a kiss,
Which I returned with a smile.
Do you recall the first time
I walked, spoke...
All those small inputs were magnified,
into huge accomplishments,
Showcasing your encouraging aspect.
'Mummy, I love you'
The world might fail to appreciate,
Or underestimate you,
Simply because it's blind,
But I am not,
Every effort you did,
Is worth a million thanks,
The struggles you went through
And all those sacrifices made,
Taught me the power of love.
May the Almighty grant you
Your heart desires.
I love you mom!!!
