High School Saga (Part 2)

The scary thing was the reality of what tomorrow holds. Mother Earth, can you give us Moon forever and keep Sun far away for just this weekend; is what I wished for. Didn't care much about having a long night, so long there was no tomorrow, lol. I was restless, I was acting like one one who stole something, scared of being exposed. Don't know how I dosed off. I woke up with a kiss from the sun, yeah; a beam of light dazzling in the room. 'Oh man,' that genie didn't take my request serious, lol.

I knew twas time to face my fears; crowds and having fun ~ whatever that is. I had to put behind all my worries and enjoy my delicious breakfast prepared by mummy. I continued with my daily routine, books and research. Immediately after lunch, I prepared for my unknown event.

In no time, Buddy showed up. Guess what! For all the places you can imagine, Bud & Buddy took me to a pool party. I didn't like the idea, not because I hate water but the scene. I was fortunate to bump into one of my kind (nerd). She was beautiful, wore cool glasses and we shared the same conversation. Sara and I spent much time talking. See, the party was not a bad idea after all.

Seconds turned into minutes, minutes into hours and yes, twas time to head home. The birthday celebrant needed time with his family, just to perfectly welcome a new age with elderly blessings. The party was dismissed. Sara and I exchanged contacts, but; failed to be in a girlfriend/boyfriend relationship; we were like Sheldon and Amy from The Big Bang Theory, lol. This led to pressure from my buddies, wanting me to get a girlfriend.

Peer pressure is often overlooked but it's deadly. It can push you to neglect self, morals, values and your sense of reasoning too. I fell in this calamity with no lifeguard to save me. I had to lie to get extra money from my parents, pretend to be sick only to miss classes and act like a 'cool' kid. This time, I had met my complement, Vannessa. She was a flirt, yet she had all qualities worth one falling for. I would say she was hot but character-less. She was my newfound lover.

Stay tuned for part 3
