💕Introduction from our very own young princess
My name is Sandriana McCarthy, mid-twenties. I am an introvert, I like to keep things to myself, am a closed book if I may put it that way. Don't have many friends and I hate socializing with many people, but I prefer doing things on my own.
***Disclaimer :- not real names used for sensitive reasons.
💕Briefing ~ the relationship
Well, mine is not a new one, just like everyone else I was dumped by my boyfriend. The most painful part is that the guy did this on my birthday. Infact it was our anniversary date as well. I could not cope. I remember it was on a Sunday. I could not hear the pastor preaching because I was busy trying to meditate on what had befallen me. You know how it is like when you are in public and trying to force those fake smiles, acting as if all is well, but whenever I got a chance, I would cry my eyes out. I reached a state where I realized that crying was of no use because I will be probably crying over someone who didn't even love me right from the first.
💕The experience & moving forward
So getting over this guy was something that I thought would me take time. I remember there was a song that I would always play whenever I felt like this whole situation was overwhelming me. I would play the song, pray and read the Word. The song mainly spoke about Jesus being the friend that sticks closer than a brother. Yes, people might leave you, they might reject you, they might disappoint you but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother and his name is JESUS Christ. What I can tell my fellow women who have found themselves in this exact same situation as mine is that trust God even though it don't make sense. Some storms aren't meant to destroy us but to clear our paths. Remember when one door closes another open. Stay positive always and trust in the Lord all the times.
💕 Tips on how to be socially connected to people, be in love and still be true to self
Well from my own experience, I realized that had it been that I was a socialite maybe I was going to be able to share my pain with someone else. I urge you my fellow young women out there to never lose hope. Find someone whom you can talk to. As they say, I quote "a problem shared is a problem solved". Never wallow in self-pity, you might be down, but you are not out. Never shut out those people who truly love you and care for you just because of one person who could not realize your worth. Stay optimistic and be true to yourself always.
💕Words of wisdom
What I can share with you is that God is able, He can heal you, he is able to mend that broken heart. I am a living witness of God's grace. He touched my life when I thought my world had shattered. Be a woman of prayer. Prayer is the Master 🔑. Tell God your problems and not people. People will always be people, but our God is a generous God, He will surely see you through.
💕Words of encouragement
Lastly, I want to thank you guys for such a wonderful platform, where one gets to share their life experience and inspire a lot of people out there. You then get to realize that you are not the only one going through that rough patch/situation that has been troubling you for some time actually there are millions of silent souls. Skewed Crowns, continue with the good work👏.
thank you for sharing your truly inspiring story, a lot of people can relate to this, most of us have had to deal with heartbreak, nothing can ever prepare you for it, but just like everything in this world, it will come to pass, and you will make it through, you might come out of it with scars, but i can assure you that there will be someone who will love you with all those scars and make you forget all about it
ReplyDeletei agree. I salute those who share their stories too because it takes a whole lot of courage to do so.
