Crown diary Eps. 3

Trees began moving in an opposite direction, lot of activities took place outside and my dad was playing soft music to  calm me down. We reached our destination without even saying a word to each other.

"Lucy, this way!" the director waved as he led me to my room. The hallway was full, everyone looked at me as if it was a vampire that had found it's prey, waiting to devour it. I wanted mother earth to smoother me immediately for there was too much tension. Believe me, my room seemed far away. As I entered, I lay on my bed, took a deep breath and sighed.

"My baby, the day you always anticipated for is here," daddy said with so much excitement. I spoke no word, for fear of the unknown endorsed me. "Don't be scared, go have fun. Go shine Lucy..." but, before he could finish talking, all competitors were summoned for a brief meeting.

We were given number tags alongside program of events. Everything was becoming real. I looked around to see if I could make friends, but all I saw were confident ladies ready to take the world. "What happened to me, where is my confidence?" I soliloquyed.

Halfway the event, I saw myself as a loser who stood no chance of winning, meanwhile; daddy had a huge smile on his face, which kept me going.  His words were my only source of positivity. Upon heading back to my room, I looked myself in the mirror and spoke to my soul. I gained a little confidence I must say. The ending part of the event was a success.
